As I glean from your conversation, I strongly agree that I could have quit following the Lord because of all the bad, unfortunate, and wrong things that have happened to me over the past 3 years because I would have been overly focused on the negative "unfairness" of all of these disappointments that I could enumerate to the disbelief of many. Why has all of this happened to me when I was faithful in love, serving, tithing, all areas, yet lost so much? Just a few cliff notes - lost love, lost my business, lost my job, dropped insurance, got sued, became a caregiver, no income... yet I'm still here. To say life hasn't gone well is an understatement And no explanation that I can understand as to why all of this has happened. I was depressed about it for a while but life does go on.

I have to say, this is such a great discussion. I'm only 5 minutes in and you're speaking so many of the thoughts I have. I love Jesus Christ so much and, I rely on Him for everything. I'm a widow who was married for 23 years and, Jesus is the One who stepped in and took control of everything for me. I'm supposed to steer others toward Him with my testimony but, I am overshadowed by the ones who tell others to get therapy or prescription drugs to heal their issues. Thank you so much for reminding everyone that our time here on Earth is not supposed to be nothing but joy and blessings.
