The woman appeared to only want to talk about one thing.

One thing I find odd about Mormonism is their claim that the NT was corrupted and was restored by the teachings of Joseph Smith. The oldest version of the NT is the Codex Sinaiticus which is from around 360 AD and it pretty much matches our modern translation. That means that from 0-360 AD, the testimony of Jesus's life was severely altered. It then stayed exactly the same for 1500 years until finally God revealed the truth to one guy in a vision with no way of corroborating what his claims. I don't understand why God would do that. On the other hand, God is perfectly capable of preserving His word and the NT is reliable. That seems far more likely to me.

My curiosity is piqued. I will read the Book of Abraham to see for myself what his negative statements are all about.

I was raised Mormon, and I'm the only Christian in my family and extended family. My mom always says to me, "What happened to you?" It's her way of shaming me for leaving Mormonism and turning to the true Jesus. But she's a great mom, so other than that, I can't complain, although I want her saved ASAP. She's 83.

Some dismiss the influence of Mormonism on 'The Chosen', inspite of the fact that the excutive producer of that show is LDS. The excutive producer of a series about Jesus Christ will certainly have an impact on how Christ is protrayed. He seems to have inadvertently revealed this information.

I've also heard Mormons say they're not polytheists because only worship one God, even though they believe other gods exist. The Bible states clearly that there are no other gods (Isaiah 45:5, for example). When I point that out, the contortions begin. "It doesn't mean what it says - i.e., that there are no other gods - just that there should be no others as far as the Israelites were concerned and that they should only worship the God of the Bible/Earth." Then when I cite other heresies, they hurl epithets like "bigot," which is intended to shut down the conversation, the same way that leftists abuse the term.

Why look at other "religions"... and word of God, does this include the words He wrote with His very own hand in pillars of stone ... twice! The ten commandments are reduced to the 9 suggestions? God blessed the 7th day and made it Holy , its not a holiday but His Holy day. Stop looking at what every one else is doing wrong, and first fix the mess we have made of Christianity.
@lindacarlson8886 Says:
The Mormons rely on the sunk cost fallacy -- that people who've invested heavily in being Mormons will continue to invest because they don't want to have wasted all their previous effort. That's what at least half of the value to the church of missionary service is -- it's just as much about cementing the commitment of the young as it is recruitment.

Mormonism is a church that changes their doctrine, it is not biblical. Polygamy was very much in the Mormon church but Joseph Smith ignored the New Testament, he had around 33 wives and married fourteen year olds, polygamy was forbidden in the New Testament. Mormonism has a foundation of sand. Jesus is a created Jesus in Mormonism, he was the first spirit child of the pre-existence, he had a mother and father god in heaven. Unbiblical.
@SpielbergMichael Says:
MORMONS’ IMPOSSIBLE GOSPEL: Moroni 10:32 “ **IF** you deny yourselves of **ALL** ungodliness… **THEN** is his grace sufficient for you.” Did you notice the IF / THEN statement? That’s a conditional statement. So - how much ungodliness do you need to get rid of? Some? Most of? 60%? 90%? Moroni 10:32 states you need to deny “ *ALL* ungodliness.” What are you if you get rid of *ALL* ungodliness? Answer: Perfect. According to this Mormon scripture: grace doesn’t start until **AFTER** you are perfect. This means grace is unattainable for Mormons. — The Book of Mormon has other passages which support this: 2 Nephi 25:23 “We are saved by grace, **AFTER** all we can do.” When do you get the grace? Have you done all that you can do? Have you ever had 1 day in your whole life where you did all you could do? You couldn’t have prayed another minute? So - can anyone ever be saved??? — Mormon scripture is consistent about this: Alma 11:37 “And I say unto you again, that HE CANNOT SAVE THEM IN THEIR SIN. For I cannot deny his word, and ye have said no unclean thing can inherit the kingdom of heaven. Therefore how can you be saved except you enter the kingdom of heaven? Therefore YOU CANNOT BE SAVED IN YOUR SINS.” That’s like saying you’ve got to get out of the water before I’m going to save you from drowning. In contrast, the Christian Jesus isn’t a swimming coach - He’s a lifeguard. I’ve seen Mormons say, “it just means do your best” - but the Book of Mormon directly contradicts them and makes it explicitly clear that it does not mean that: First Nephi 3:7 “And it came to pass that I nee-phi said unto my father , “I will go and do the things which the Lord has commanded. For I know that the Lord giveth no commandment unto the children of men save he shall prepare a way for them that they may accomplish the thing which he commanded them.”” Is it possible for the Mormon god to give you a command you can’t keep? Did he tell you to deny yourself of ALL ungodliness? Did he tell you to do all you can do? Did he tell you you can’t be saved in your sins? If they say, I’m doing the best I can - then ask - does it say Do the best you can? So - can anyone be saved? Read the whole chapter of Alma 34. Which says you have to have repented of ALL sin before you die, otherwise you will be sealed to Satan. AND: a reminder: Moroni 10:32 “IF you deny yourselves of **ALL** ungodliness… **THEN** is his grace sufficient for you.” 2 Nephi 25:23 “We are saved by grace, **AFTER** all we can do.” — This is confirmed by: Doctrines and Covenants 82:7 “And now, verily I say unto you, I, the Lord, will not lay any sin to your charge; go your ways and sin no more; BUT UNTO THAT SOUL WHO SINNETH SHALL THE FORMER SINS RETURN, saith the Lord your God.” Doctrines and Covenants 82:9-10 “I give unto you directions how you may act before me, that it may turn to you for your salvation. I, the Lord, am bound when ye do what I say; BUT WHEN YE DO NOT WHAT I SAY, YE HAVE NO PROMISE.“ Under those conditions - who can be saved??? Also: "Trying is not sufficient. Nor is repentance complete when one merely tries to abandon sin," Spencer Kimball 12th President and PROPHET of the LDS Church, The Miracle of Forgiveness, p150 The book just quoted, ‘THE MIRACLE OF FORGIVENESS,’ by Spencer Kimball (12th President and **PROPHET** of the LDS Church) is approved and recommended by multiple LDS leaders: Ezra Taft Benson (13th President and **PROPHET** of the LDS Church) urged all church members "to read and reread President Spencer Kimball's book." (from ‘In His Steps’ 1988). LDS Church apostle Richard G. Scott called ‘The Miracle of Forgiveness’ a "masterly work" (‘Peace of Conscience and Peace of Mind, 2004) and “a superb guide.” (Finding Forgiveness, 1995).
@AffirmingJesus Says:
A lot of truth packed here. I'm a former Seventh-day Adventist, spent several decades in that sect. Much of the same stuff alluded to in this video applies here. Grew up in an agnostic household. No relatives went to church or were believers in Christ. I became interested in Christianity in my teens, read the Bible, became a believer in Jesus Christ in my 20s. The SDA church, like Mormonism, offers community and a shared spiritual experience. Total institutional control is what they do. The SDA church also has a prophet, Ellen G. White, who claimed to have visions the same year Joseph Smith died, 1844, which happened to be the same year of the "Great disappointment" when the expected return of Christ did not materialize. She was - and still is - considered to be the "Spirit of prophecy" in the Adventist church. Ellen White's writings are widely held to be authoritative within the church and are considered to be on par with the Bible. Adventists will consult EGW writings before the Bible, or at least interpret the Scriptures by what she wrote, instead of the other way around. "Studying that heresy and defining the differences will actually make you a more committed Christian." That statement is supremely valuable. Many former Adventists (or Mormons, or Jehovah's Witnesses, or other pseudo-Christian groups/sects) feel a tremendous guilt for the waste of time and resources we've poured into the false church we once were a part of. But being insiders also gives us the opportunity to sharpen our growing faith in the true Jesus Christ as well as being able to intercede for others considering going into (or coming out of) that particular faith.

Great video & great points. God bless you! Keep up the great work. I would like a video that really spells out the actual differences between Christianity and Mormonism very clearly!

Church allowing blacks in the priesthood in 1978. Revelation from prophet. No coincidence with losing tax exempt status case because of discrimination.
@Charles.Wright Says:
Lately the LDS have been trained to closely mimic biblical Christianity lingo. It is still a gnostic, heretical cult. Different Jesus, different gospel. Don't even need to invoke secret underwear, or their old belief that blacks are subhuman.
