I disagree that I don't have loving feelings toward my enemies. Not that I am always meditating on the goodness of Christ and perfectly loving them, but in Christ, yes, I do truly care about their salvation because God says we must love our enemies and do good to them. It's a commandment of God. We cannot love anyone with the love of Christ unless we are in Christ, meaning unless we are meditating on Christ, we can't love. It's really that simple. There is a fine line between loving someone by and through prayer for the lost and just saying that we have the love of Christ in us. You cannot truly say that you love God unless you love the lost because God is love. Yes, even whenever you are lost, you can still make a conscious decision to forgive and let go, but whenever you are in Christ, you truly love them in HIM. His love is perfect.

Matthew 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. You don't have warm fuzziness?Don't be concerned that feelings dont flutter up in you all the time, thats not what love is....Christ said Love God with all your HEART. YOU ARE A FALSE TEACHER, SIT DOWN, STOP LEADING PEOPLE ASTRAY

Thank you so much for these words! God bless you Frank!
@jop4112 Says:
Yet the Scripture says delight yourself in the Lord. That is a feeling. We are to love God with all of our heart, soul, mind, and strength. Our emotions are a part of who we are. Like all aspects of ourselves they are to be poured out as an offering to God. Should we be driven by our emotions... no. Are our emotions here for our good and the glory of God? When submitted to the Holy Spirit, I think so.

Love comes in 4 different languages: AGAPE: love between God and mankind. EROS: passionate love between man and woman. STORGE: love for parents/children. PHILIA: love for friends. You cannot love God the way we love humans...its not only imperfect but conditional most of the time. Jesus said, "If you love me, you will keep my commands" That's how we love Him, with fear and reverence. When the Holy Spirit convicts you of sin, you will feel joy in your heart for everything Jesus has done guaranteed. But He doesn't depend on human worship (John 5:41) It is we humans who benefit of seeking Him.

Ask yourself WHY and If you are challenging GOD and Really don;t believe JESUS or GOD then your Salvation is in question because you have NOT made a Heart decision to LOVE JESUS for saving you from your sins. either you believe it or NOT and DO you act on that until you truly believe HIM or NOT determines whether you are saved or NOT. JESUS is always standing with Open arms it is up to us to accept and Believe.

Imagine having a clear scriptural answer to that guys question. There is a clear scriptural answer. Sadly, Turek doesn't know it!

I think that a lot of people would change their tune if they started actually experiencing, and basking in spiritual experiences. It’s euphoria!!! I used to have the “Straight Jacket God Worship” resistant mentality too. Your perspective starts changing though, based on “Experiential knowledge.” A bit like how a person starts changing in certain ways after having a kid. Unfortunately “It’s an experience” just can’t be taught, it’s ineffable. That is a major limitation that I see with debates. They do have value. But I see them mainly as good starting points for people.

Blessed are those who don't feel it!
@scovafd Says:
love is just as much of a verb as it is a noun. You show love, even if you don't always feel it

So if they’re not important- why then did God give us feelings?

@The-F.R.E.E.-J. Says:
This goes to the flaw of the religious concept, or command, to "be like Jesus". God cannot help but love us, as that is His very nature, yet He subjected Himself to our weaknesses by becoming one of us - *so that,* He could overcome all of our flaws on our behalf. Not so we could be like Him rather, so we could receive the benefit of His righteousness by belief in HIS perfect love, thereby conquering death & overcoming our destruction. That really is something to love Him for, but not the way He loves us for there is only ONE who can love like God. Our love, towards Him, is more a response of gratitude when we come to the awareness of what He has done for us.

I love your channel! While I'm here I'd like to ask you something as well. How would you approach leading a traditional native American to Christianity?
@Susan-z6z Says:
I would prefer to feel much better (than I do now).
@klauge763 Says:
Such wonderful truth that the world and many professing Christians are so confused about. We can't trust our feelings, they are of the flesh.

"It might behoove you to acknowledge" the creator that created you and continues to provide for you and protect you with every breath You take. I would imagine you acknowledge your mother and father when they give you tuition and a laptop computer. Just a thought.

Jesus didn’t die for you, because it was fun… He hung there for love because it had to be done… And in spite of the anguish, his work was fulfilled… Love is not a feeling… it’s an act of the will… Don Francisco, “Love Is Not A Feeling”
@jamesw4250 Says:
Why would anyone want to love such a horride fictional character? That's like saying people want to love sauron or morgoth. What he supposedly did . No verified evidence for that happening. Also why would that move you? Because god set up the whole thing to bring him glory not to forgive us. He made everything and knew it was going to be broken and instead of either simply making it so it wasn't broken or just forgiving us he made a disturbing hoop system in which he cursed us generationally and then set up a system in which he sacrificed himself to himself to forgive ? That's evil. Entirely.

Job teaches us we cannot add to him or take away from him by anything we do on this earth.

That was a beautiful explanation.
@mastershake4641 Says:
People think not feeling stuff means they arent in love with God. I think its the opposite, people who have so much feeling they "Marry God" and treat Jesus like their boyfriend are the ones who dont really have a relationship with God.

I love this! Love is an action verb not a feeling.

How can I love someone I don’t love? Ouch
@ggpt9641 Says:
I'm glad this question was asked. There's also something worth exploring about love being separate from feelings. Yet already, this gives me more confidence when I say "I love you" to whoever I say it, if it's not feelings, but commitment.
@jonihamalainen6176 Says:
I hope that you break free from worship and find god
@jodyel Says:
Love is an act of the will, not a feeling. Well said by the speaker.
@BrianBadondeBo Says:
Ah yes, cause the only way to make love more noble is to make it mandatory.
@larzman651 Says:
The question seems strange to me in the way it was asked. As for me I'm an emotional support human , empathetic. For GOD so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whomsoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life 🙌
