The Lord doesn’t talk in riddles, it means exactly what it says

@Mike__G Says:
Can you imagine Jesus saying, “Go and just sin a little bit?”
@lukedegraaf1186 Says:
God created us knowing what would happen and then punishes us further if we dont fall in line, knowing we wont fall in line, all so he could be loved, and somewhere in there killes his son... what a crazy story about a narcissistic god... oh... you think this is the truth? *backs away slowly*
@viccigates3756 Says:
Don't continue to practice what is against God. We will still fall short unintentionally.
@srgfam2305 Says:
Jesus put himself between sin and us on the cross... he loved us so much just like a parent that would die for his or hers kid... Jesus is our father and I can't wait to meet and hug him... thank you Lord Jesus... come soon Lord Jesus 🙏

1 Peter 4:1-2
[1] So then, since Christ suffered physical pain, you must arm yourselves with the same attitude he had, and be ready to suffer, too. For if you have suffered physically for Christ, you have finished with sin. [2] You won’t spend the rest of your lives chasing your own desires, but you will be anxious to do the will of God.

That was a great question and great answer
@jeep250es5 Says:
Where the law fails, is its accusations. Jesus told us what to do, not what not to do. Just reading through the law fills your consciousness with evil. Remember the counterfeit wants to be like the most high. The counterfeit is jealous of the most high. Who identifies as jealous?
@andrewjung6987 Says:
I have to challenge this completely. I think this is absolutely wrong. The problem that he’s fallen into is the “good enough” fallacy. The main objective of Christianity was to establish Christ as the authority. Meaning, if you have truly accepted Christ and he is your sole authority, you can not sin, because you can not act unless god wills it. This is a reality Christians are not ready to face, because it means so few make it.

I like to say we may loose the battle but not the war.. it's a spiritual battle and each battle you loose just builds yourself up for the war!!!

Go and strive to live a righteousness lifestyle that aligns with the word, strive to deny your fleshly carnal desires and pick up your cross and follow/walk with the Lord. Out of love, gratitude, obedience towards the Lord Jesus, live for him. "Go and sin no more".

Schoolmaster suggests to a modern mind someone who teaches.
The Greek context was a servant (pedagogue: likely a young boy or man) who was a guardian/ carer for the children of the house,and who took them to school and was responsible for keeping the children in check: a form of protective custody where the children were bound to obey the master and were not free do as they pleased. The law keeps us bound and imprisoned because it tells us what we are and what we don't do : sinners who sin!
Think of one a glorified babysitter.
The holy spirit combines with word of God brings us to the Teacher, which is Christ.
@shogunnz32 Says:
This discredits the Holy Spirit being in us. The law and power of the Spirit can overcome sin in our lives.
@namelessperson2170 Says:
JESUS meant, JESUS in flesh was crucified and died. He was saying as in the flesh die from sin and reborn from the sin. "sin no more "
@gabrielbron5918 Says:
Great way to put it!

Beautiful analogy with the mirror
@markwillhite9200 Says:
Adultery is a man leaving God or a wife leaving her husband. When Jesus told the Adulteress to " go now and sin no more", he was telling her to go back to her husband. A wife is not to leave her husband,and if she does she can only return to him. Corinthians.
Conservatives who meditate night and day on God's words and rightly divide the word of God a workMAN unashamed know these things. Liberals know nothing.

So God's law says do not beat your slaves so that they die. Do you beat your slaves?
@SaintCecillia-s2b Says:
Dont add to Gods word things he didnt say. Jesus said go and sin no more lest a worse thing come upon you...he commands, his children know, we live a new and living way. Justified freely. No longer sinners, but new creatures in Christ.

@Username34823 Says:
This God condones the owning and beating of slaves but apparently that isnt enough to get people to stop worshiping him.

@GiftofGrace88 Says:
Understand the difference between the inward and outward man. This is a simple concept that so many people seem to get wrong and then go teach a false message about not sinning to be saved or maintain salvation or risk losing salvation. You can't LOSE SALVATION ONCE YOU GET IT BY BELIEVING IN JESUS CHRIST!
Romans 7
20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
@reillyliner Says:
We’re never without law. We ARE freed from trying to use the law to get to heaven when we become Christians. We bow down to Jesus as Lord, turning away from our sins and trust Jesus as the resurrected savior. What did He save us from? Morality? Obeying Gods commands? No. We still need to obey God and walk in goodness. He saved us from the wrath of God for when we have, and still do, disobey or do immoral things. Jesus saved us from death and judgement. Our forgiveness is in HIM. And now we’re called to obey God out of joy rather than some attempt to earn His favor.
@jrjr6934 Says:
Listen closely to what he said when Jesus said not to sin no more that he knew we were going to continue sining so don't take him literally Jesus was hoping that we wouldn't sin anymore
