Let's replace God with Moloch in Frank's question and have Frank answer it. If Moloch was proven to be the true god, the creator of everything, and Christianity was proven to be false, would Frank agree with Moloch's morality and would Frank become an obedient worshipper of Moloch?
@lucianseekinglove Says:
So... the God who sends people to ETERNAL TORTURE for disagreeing with Him on morality, who treats humans as clay and does anything He wants without regard for our desire to be autonomous, this God draws the line at beating your wife?
@richardsmith3259 Says:
A better question the student should have asked was "if God commanded would you sacrifice your child"? While there is no endorsement of wife beating in the bible, there are multiple cases of child sacrifice being commanded.
@rebekahbacon7700 Says:
A hypothetical is a hypothetical for a reason, it can be impossible. I personally don't believe that Christianity is true, but I suspend my beliefs for the hypothetical because that's the whole point of the question. And the student's question is not really that off, if we remember God asking Abraham to sacrifice his son, even if it felt wrong and he didn't know why. So, if God, and you knew for a fact that it was God, came to you and told you to beat your wife, would you do it?
@rebekahbacon7700 Says:
If Christianity were true I would become a Christian. Same as if Islam were true I would become a Muslim. What is this question supposed to do? Trick you into finally saying "yes i would believe it" even if it's under an impossible circumstance?
@michaelh3470 Says:
The students question is more realistic if you read the bible as the god of the Christian bible told people to do far worse than beat their wife. the problem i christians believe in a murderous, tyrannical monster.
@BalefulBunyip Says:
No. Because the bible is full of immoral and perverted instructions from the Christian god.
@tomwarrick4945 Says:
I think there is some💩about beating your wife in bible.god set down rules on how and when to be done,😇be thankful girls for the favor
@DVeck89 Says:
God asked Abraham to sacrifice Issac. How can you dismiss literally anything as unlike god’s nature? If god asks it, it’s his nature. Maybe he’ll ask you to beat your wife and then stop you at the last second just to see if you would really do whatever he asks, just as he did to Abraham.
@stephenberry8658 Says:
The real answer was... If athiesm was true would you believe it?
@panaroid9636 Says:
Ok, if God said we should kill homosexuals, would you do it. So in other words if x was actually x, would you still treat is as x?
@panaroid9636 Says:
Yeah this ist 2 debating logical arguments. I think the student is just saying a hypothetical like that is not conducive to sound reasoning. As hypothetically obviously he would believe in it was true but the whole crux of the matter is we don’t know. Just like Frank would have to beat his wife, if God commanded it, but he didn’t……I don’t think
@davdna Says:
Fairy tale books
@tecohobishi2655 Says:
Zealout you are ridiculous. Why? Because the Bible is literally absurd, talking snakes, Virgin births. It's outlandish and ridiculous a question can be. Nothing about Frank's question is logical as it involves literally absurd magic
@jerrygarciaisgod4409 Says:
Your christian god condoned humans owning and beating other humans. Wtf are you talkin about mate???😂😂😂😂😂
@Polimedes Says:
Nonsense logic. But nice try. Why would good not ask you to beat your wife? That’s a pretty minor request given what he has allegedly previously asked for.
@georgev3433 Says:
If God as described in the Bible were proven true would I be a Christian again? No. He is an amoral monster who promotes genocide, slavery, and torture.
@basilkearsley2657 Says:
What if the question was “if god told you to take your first born up a mountain and kill him, would you do it”. God has asked the question and Abraham did what he was told
@ordinarymann47 Says:
Oh really? He wouldn't be the Christian God as we know him? Deuteronomy 22:23-24 seems to suggest otherwise78
@albusai Says:
Lah told Muslims they xan beat their wives 😂😂
@loloverlord1664 Says:
If christianity was true, I would probably become a christian. The problem is: there are absolutly zero proof of the existence of a god, so why should I waste my time being a christian?
@UnlimitedRageSpells Says:
The answer to franks question is “Of course, but sadly it doesn’t exist.”
@memecity9849 Says:
So let's say would you kill someone because God said that person has sinned against him. The God of the Bible has commanded people to kill other people so it wouldn't change who God is or what he asked for
@gasmaskbhudda Says:
He’s switch your wife out for a goat last second
@somerandom3247 Says:
What do you mean by "become a christian"?
@wilhelmtyskeberget2107 Says:
Religion poisons everything
@aidan_kocur_composer Says:
Who are you to say that that command is inconsistent with your god's supposed incomprehensible plan. Maybe it serves some higher purpose, like you say it did when god ordered the killing of thousands of innocent men, women, and children
@jim7350 Says:
Hmmm something about Paul or was it Saul . Hmm i cant spell too good hope I got it right.
@JezHeck Says:
Wait.... didn't God tell Abraham to sacrifice his son?
@toxicgaming14375 Says:
Respected lady, please check your audio.
@jd3jefferson556 Says:
How can Christianity be true when even Frank admits that the denominations don't agree😂 Y'all can't even agree which books are even in your holy book
@Proganaut1989 Says:
If God told me to beat my wife and I knew beyond a doubt, it was God... I would run to get a stick No one has authority over THE AUTHORITY
@H.R.Pufnstuf Says:
If it was true? If it was true then we wouldn't have a choice, so of course.
@CharlesH-de9op Says:
Not ridiculous just silly. If it could be proven unicorns existed would you think they were real? Duh yes, but it hasn't been proven
@ericgendell8874 Says:
The devil hides in plain sight christianity is the Anti christ conclusively and irrefutably proven by the reality that christianity and the church has brought more hell to earth than all the Satanists who have ever lived in their darkest, most depraved fantasies. There is no hate more malignant than christian love "Religion began when the first scoundrel met the first fool." Voltaire
@BeachsideHank Says:
The conclusion then is yes, Frank would beat his missus if his religion told him to.
@b00mbox Says:
if god told you to sacrifice your child to prove your loyalty, would you?
@stedbenj Says:
Maybe the student should have asked "if the Bible spoke against gluttony and overeating, would you still make needlessly complicated videos trying to skirt the point i was trying to make?"
@gango23 Says:
Lets ignore all the nasty things god asks people to do in the bible, much worse than beating someone, it kind of is the same question. Frank's question is 'if things were different to what you think they are now would you believe?' and so is the students. The answer given by this lady is " things wouldn't be different to what I know now because what I know now is absolute'.
@StephenLewisful Says:
This is a ridiculous question. Is it supposed to strengthen the validity of Christianity? It does not. If god himself told me he exists, I would not believe him. I would in fact know therefore belief would not be a part of the equation. There is no evidence that leads us to a proof of god and belief, one way or another, is irrelevant. His argument fails.
@ryonhayes7430 Says:
Okay then prove to me God's real without quoting the Bible. You're only excuse for a god being real is this so-called fake Bible so will eliminate the Bible prove to me God's real without quoting the Bible
@tarp-grommet Says:
Christianity cannot be both true and a faith at the same time. Something is either true or you take it on faith. In other words, after thousands of years, the Abrahamic religions are still questionable in spite of all the weighty preachments and dark threats for what amounts to thought crimes.
@Mr.PeabodyTheSkeptic Says:
No. I will not worship kings or anything for that matter. I'm American, I don't accept slavery. A willing slave you say? If it's not a sincere belief then it's not true. Isn't that the christian philosophy? Can Frank choose to love my wife because she is the best wife who has ever existed in history? Try choosing to love your neighbors child as you love yours.
@davidevett724 Says:
It's a simple answer. We are under the new covenant of Jesus Christ which laid His flesh life down so us humans wouldn't suffer the second death or some consider the spiritual seperation from God. What Jesus said was to forgive others as God has forgiven you so at no point whether be hypothetical or not would Jesus say or command to harm anyone at any time. He goes as far as to say pray for those that trespass against us. So the hypothetical given isn't hypothetical at all.. even considered parellel with the question? if you found out God was real would you believe?
@fitnessteacher1845 Says:
I agree with how they have approached the students response. My response would be. If it showed that the Christian god (as described in the bible) was true would I follow or worship them? My answer no. That god has demonstrated themselves to be an immoral thug who punishes people for its own mistakes.
@clark987878 Says:
The correct answer is: if God is real and I verified 100% he asked me to do something, and if the requested action goes against his nature than I will trust him to catch me before it happens because he's testing my trust not asking me to sin. It's like the trust fall excersize we have all played with our friends. are we all evil 😈 for being willing to commit suic*de or asking our friend to do it 🤔? No! We KNOWING the outcome isn't death but trust! Like God asking abraham to kill his son. The son God already told Abraham his plans for. Abraham trusted God would provide a sacrifice, he said so to his son as they went up the mountain alone and God did in the end! Just as we trust our friends will catch us before we even fell into their arms. Because we KNOW our friend isn't evil but has our back and we are showing our friend we know that ❤
@SupremeSquiggly Says:
Frank doesn’t do anything logically sound. Hence why in his debates he does a gish gallop of poorly explained scientific concepts, quote mining, and logical fallacies. It’s sad that Frank has so many people who thinks he actually has anything of substance to say.
@tamou_whanau1441 Says:
Then it wouldn't be god. Interesting. That's easily missed.
@joshuajohnson1891 Says:
The answer is no. The God of the Bible is immoral and not worthy of worship.
