The “twist” is people who put there own personal beliefs (ex:homophobia, racism,any type of discrimination or disrespect) over their religion and try to make it sound like it somthing it’s not

Okay. What stops god revealing itself in this modern era to sources which can accurately verify and record it's existence and message?
Such a revelation would of course put humans in their place. It would resolve false teachings, unite multiple religions and end worldwide conflict on religious grounds in one fell swoop.
