God usually wants to collaborate with us to make things better. Often, prayer alone isn’t enough. God could have parted the sea for Moses, but He said, "Raise the wooden staff." God could have given water to the Israelites, but He said, "Strike the rock with your staff." God could have given Joshua victory in battle outright, but He instructed Moses to keep his staff raised in the air during the fight.
Similarly, perhaps today God would tell you, "Lift that piece of paper—the ballot—and drop it in the voting box."
If you don’t stand up for the lives of unborn children, it would be hypocritical to ask God for protection over your own life and your children’s lives.
