If we are the Bride.. and He is the Bridegroom, why do we get an invitation to our own wedding?. Guests get invited... Not the Bride and Groom.
The invitation is for unsaved ....to become a part of the Bride...

When Christ comes back then the dead in Christ shall rise first and then we would remain should also be taken up with them and so shall we ever be with the lord. But only after Christ returns.
This is written in 2 Corinthians 4. Someone might be having a hard life and want to go to the gathering together or the big party now. Well it's not available now. They were just remain in the grave until Christ comes back which we don't know when that will be 100 years from now.
