David, a man after God's own heart, committed grave sins that separated him from God. But once David truly repented of his sins, God forgave him. David never sinned like that ever again, yet God still punished him for the wrong he had already done. In 2 Samuel 12:10, God said to David “the sword shall never depart from thine house; because thou hast _despised ME,_ and hast taken the wife of Uriah,” who he had killed. In 2 Samuel 7:14, God punished David with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men, meaning David had to suffer the rest of his days by the hands of man for going against God. This is the same for everyone; for anyone who commits sin, the same measure that we meet with it shall be measured to us again (Luke 6:38).

Please pray for my son David who is very sick 😢. He was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease but he needs further testing. He's been waiting to see a rheumatologist for over a month because they have no appointments available for a long time.
