I admire your self reflection Joyce however I respectfully disagree, it is the lack of love they often display, not lack of patience. It seems to me the love thy neighbor even in disagreement is severely lacking. If man/woman is created in the image of God as it is written that love should be extended to even those of other faiths, who live non traditional life styles, who have not yet found Jesus, yet they are often judged and condemned to damnation on mere principle which is not for a disciple to deal out, which does nothing to draw people to the faith only dig their heels in further. If they/we are children of God even in ignorance of it the love should be implicit

I used to be a waitress at Red Lobster and I hated working on Sundays because that is when the church crowd would show up. Not all of them were horrible, but about 90% of them were. They tipped horribly and treated me like I was beneath them. I will never forget one table, a pastor walked in with his leadership team and the wife of one of the ministers ordered me around very rudely. I went to go take their order and I saw that she was still looking at the menu, so I let her know that I could give her a couple minutes and come back, without looking up from the menu, she held one hand up and said "NO. Wait right there." And did not even look at me and kept looking at the menu. I could tell everyone was embarrassed at her treatment of me but no one spoke up and apologized to me even though she talked down to me like I was not worthy of being in her presence.
Thankfully I love Jesus so I just had to keep smiling and I continued to be kind even though she was ugly to me. After they left I thought to myself, "I am so glad I was their server because if someone who did not love Jesus waited on them, they would be turned off by Christianity even more if they were not already turned off and that would be a horrible witness on the love of Christ."
