Honest question... I totally agree with Jouce here. But WHY do so many people believe that Proverbs are "not" promises. I can't understand where they get that from. Can anyone please elaborate? I finally just started telling these people that Proverbs are principles that ARE rewarded when you follow what they say. That seems to silence the nay sayers. But, I would truly appreciate anyone else's Biblical thoughts. Thx!!

First of all it depends on the person and the motive to the correction. It depends on if it comes from judgment and control of someone's actions. It depends if it comes from toxic entitled people who do nothing but come up with complaints about you, but don't have any concern with the major things about them that would make a person not want to be around them or listen to anything they say. Maybe a person is tired and doesn't want to deal with these people at all.
