No angel appeared to me, no voice sounded in my head "and God spoke to the man". How does one know the difference between a voice in their head and their own imagination? Its a fact that the brain is susceptible to illusion and the brain hallucinates while we sleep and while we are awake. The world is loaded with deception. There is identity theft, just like Jesus warned: "many will come in my name and deceive". The world is full of creatures that feed on other creatures and fight for influence using fear, hypnosis or whatever they can . Even before Adam ate the fruit he had to eat to live as God gave him the herbs and the animals to be his food. With all these facts in mind, why would a loving God punish me for being skeptical and sitting on the fence concerning what other men have told me to believe of God? A Jew, a Muslim and a Christian would all have something to tell me about God, but they are at odds. No angel appeared to me and as far as I can tell, no voice sounded in my head that was not probably a hallucination. This has been my most difficult thing to cope with so that I can get off the fence.

Uh... we CANNOT trust the Bible, of course. It looks like a fairytake, quacks like a fairytale then it's PROBABLY a duck! ....er.... fairytale.

If Christianity were true, a substantiating foundation of evidence for its validity would entail the ability to assert that if I believed in God, a certain outcome would occur if we conducted a particular experiment. The fact that Christianity has failed to produce any such instances serves as compelling evidence that its existence is nothing more than a figment of imagination. The purpose of presenting evidence that distinguishes between imagination and reality is due to the fact that numerous imaginary explanations for any occurrence can be concocted. For instance, what caused the cup to topple over? It could have been the wind, someone accidentally knocking the table, squirrels, invisible aliens, magical apparitions, magical unicorns, or even a deity. The possibilities for fabricating imaginary explanations are limitless, and thus we require a filtration mechanism to eliminate such conjectures. Until individuals are able to accomplish this, it is reasonable to conclude that whatever explanation they provide is merely imaginary until proven otherwise. Hence, until theists can furnish a means to differentiate imagination from reality, it is rational to deduce that their explanations are purely products of their own minds.

Apparently, there were established churches in Greece and Rome within a very short period of time. In fact, too short of a period. Once they established the viability of the Fig Tree Jesus planted, with prior years of preaching, and for three years went looking for fruit on it, they sealed it with the story of the crucifixion, since there at least was foliage and could then be cultivated and fertilized. From then on, Jesus could go about and continue his preaching, anonymously. His first appearance, the first coming, is within the same generation of his return, when he finds the Fig Tree with only foliage. Adam is clothed from wielding the fiery sword. Noah is covered up from the nakedness of treading the winepress of wrath. Adam opens the way to the Tree of Life. Noah puts an end to all mortals. God goes about in a cloth tent.

1 John 3:7-8 “Little children (believers, dear ones), do not let anyone lead you astray. The one who practices righteousness [the one who strives to live a consistently honorable life--in private as well as in public--and to conform to God’s precepts] is righteous, just as He is righteous. “The one who practices sin [separating himself from God, and offending Him by acts of disobedience, indifference, or rebellion] is of the devil [and takes his inner character and moral values from him, not God]; for the devil has sinned and violated God’s law from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil. .”

Yet, people spend thousands of dollars going to school to become a doctor or a lawyer and base their entire education on information they learned from books written by IMPERFECT, SINFUL humans! And it’s never questioned whether this information is correct. Jesus said at John 17:17: “Your word is truth.” God would never all for inaccuracy and lies to be put in his Word. His holy spirit was used to prevent that from happening. (2 Timothy 3:16,17) We would never want to talk bad about the holy spiritual because it’s an unforgivable sin! God is a Spirit so obviously he couldn’t come down to earth and write it. He allowed imperfect humans to write down His Word because they were imperfect, sinful, flawed people just like us that we can relate to. They were used the same way a boss asks his secretary to type a letter. It’s not her letter, it’s her boss’ but she’s allowed to type the letter in the style she writes in and still getting the point across.

Amd you made no attempt to answer the question And no we all know your a lie so we can trust that what you say will be dishonest
@davidlenett8808 Says:
It's not a fallacy. If Frank asserts, a foundational precedent of his theology is that you're wretched, depraved, and inclined towards sin but then goes on to say, you ought to trust and believe they are speaking truth THAT is a logical fallacy. He wants to have his cake and eat it too.
@paramaniacwolverine843 Says:
I know the Bible is inspired by God because it contains all the details of our sinful nature.
@Shawn-q3x Says:
Even Satan knows Jesus is the Son of God: “And devils also came out of many, crying out, and saying, Thou art Christ the Son of God. And he rebuking them suffered them not to speak: for they knew that he was Christ” (Luke 4:41). Satan had to ask permission from Jesus to go into the herd of swine (Matthew 8:31-32), but man thinks Jesus is God. Jesus said to the Father, “I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes” (Matthew 11:25), meaning those who are wise in their own eyes will see it their way, not God's way. They are calling Jesus a liar when they say Jesus is God; Jesus said his Father is the only true God (John 17:3). Knowing that the Father is God, and still calling Jesus as God will send you to hell. What Jesus said cannot be changed. We cannot read God's words through Jesus and oppose it at the same time. Only true believers will know there is one God the Father, and one Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 8:6).
@hammerhed4140 Says:
Well, that's exactly correct. We can't trust any man, nor any one, not even ourselves. But, when it comes to the Bible, the few men that wrote it are bona-fide and established genuine men of God....True Prophets and Apostles. And the only way to be confident of these few men, is to read and study the Bible. And that's the biggest problem, is that most would rather not read and study the Bible, but would rather someone else, such as a Pastor, do all the work and then explain it to them, and they then can make their own conclusions, whether it's acceptable or not. The fact is, The Word of God will be fulfilled; false prophets and lying teachers will bring to pass the fullness of the falling away. Sound doctrine is already being rejected by many. They're turning their ears away...they would rather hear it, than study it.
@djarmstrong23 Says:
You can’t. You just have to believe and have faith. Let’s hope we are right.
@jamesw4250 Says:
First off sin doesnt exist. And secondly the bible isnt trustworthy. So you cant.
@hosscat1829 Says:
Because GOD proves his word by prophecy. Every prophecy in the Bible has come true or is going to come true, because it has not passed yet. There were prophecies about Jesus over 300 they all came true. There were prophecies that Jesus spoke of that came true. there are prophecies about our day that have come true and are coming true at this time. Prophecy is how God is proving that his word is true. Only God can be 100% right.

@hansdemos6510 Says:
Right, and that is why we all need to be reasonably skeptical of what everyone else says, especially when people claim what they are saying or writing is somehow special. Claims of holiness are just smokescreens to evade the normal skepticism we apply to everything else.

But you'll take some guy's word on a Bronze Age Goatherders Guide to the Universe, who benefits from your believing it.
@somerandom3247 Says:
I agree with frank here. The writers being sinners(according to the bible) doesnt automatically make what they wrote untrue. The fact that it doesnt align wih reality is what makes it untrue.

@macmac1022 Says:
It does not really matter who wrote it. The question of is it true? is the main point of contention. Does it make sense? Did the events really happen? Are these not the more important questions? #1 If you were brainwashed would you know it? #2 If someone said they had a test for brainwashing, would you want to take it? #3 If they then said, if you cannot answer these questions, that means your brainwashed, would you be giving it 100% effort to answer those questions? All criminals are caught red handed of murder 100% guilty and show no remorse. The judges always apply the perfect amount of punishment. All things being equal and for arguments sake. Now I will give an example. There are 4 judges and 10 guilty criminals. Judge #1 orders punishment for all 10 criminals and does not forgive without punishment a single one. Judge #2 forgives without punishment all 10 criminals. Judge #3 forgives without punishment 9 of them and punishes 1 of them. Judge #4 punishes 9 of them and forgives without punishment 1 of them. #4 Which judge is the most/maximally just? #5 Which judge is the most/maximally forgiving? #6 Is judge #3 either most/maximally forgiving or most just? #7 Is judge #4 most/maximally forgiving or most just? #8 Is it possible for any judge to be both most/maximally forgiving and most/maximally just?
