If youre child is a fan of the Pokemon games as well, she might have learned the word from the games themselves. I actually learned quite a bit of vocabulary around age 8 or 9 from playing Pokemon games, and that was one of them.
If that's the case, there's nothing sinister about it thankfully. Pokemon in the games can usually (like any animal) be boys or girls, with slight differences in appearance; other than asthetic, this is only present so you can know if you have a boy or a girl Pokemon and whether or not they can lay eggs and give you more Pokemon (so it's accurate to the sexual binary lol.)
A few Pokemon species have no gender, but these are either Pokemon based on inanimate objects, like magnets or robots or swords, or Legendary Pokemon, usually for the sole purpose of not letting you get eggs from them and get more Legendaries. Even some of the "genderless" Pokemon like Zacian and Zamazenta are referred to as feminine or masculine, they just can't lay eggs because you only get 1 of that species per game.

But when they hit puberty (or even before) they might start thinking they need to hide some things from their parents. Mainly sex relate things lol. I think these things may need to be discussed properly with parents. Christian (correct) perspective on gender, sex, intercourse, lust, porn, masturbation, etc idk. Btw I don't think anyone is exempt from lust. Lol.

Pikachu is a type of animal, like a dog or cat. It can be a boy or a girl. The likelihood of Japanese-owned children’s media slipping in gender theory is slim to none, but that doesn’t mean the local Western branches won’t do it through subtitles or translations.
Plus, in real life, there are some simple organisms which reproduce without gender at all (which you will see reflected in some Pokémon).
Just FYI because I know some companies—especially Disney and Hasbro—have gone insane with this in their preschool TV shows.

According to my Poe app, in the Pokémon franchise, like all Pokémon, doesn’t have a specific gender. Instead pokemon have a concept called “gender ratio”, which determines the likelihood of encountering a male or female pokemon of a particular species. Pikachu has a gender ratio of 50% male and 50% female, meaning there is an equal chance of encountering a male or female pikachu in the games or other pokemon media

I can't stand it when people who don't know anything about a subject try to speak on it. In this particular case, pokemon just like in the animal kingdom, there's male and female of each kind of animal. The same is true with pokemon. The main character's Pikachu is a male. It was revealed over 20 years ago when the series first came out.

#1 You see a child drowning in a shallow pool and notice a person just watching that is able to save the child with no risk to themselves but is not, is that persons non action moral?
#2 If you go to save the child, the man tells you to stop as he was told it was for the greater good, but he does not know what that is, do you continue to save the child?
#3 Is it an act of justice to punish innocent people for the crimes of others?
#4 If you were able to stop it and knew a person was about to grape a child would you stop it?
#5 Would you consider a parent who put their kids in a room with a poison fruit and told the kids not to eat it but then also put the best con artist in the room with the children knowing the con artist will get the kids to eat the fruit and the parent does nothing to stop it a good parent?
