This message needs to spread to every Christian. So many of us just attack without real knowledge of others beliefs much less deep knowledge of our own. We need more GOOD training for Christians!

I took a comparative religion course in college and it was a great way to really learn what different religions believed. When we come from a foundation of understanding and love it allows us to be more successful when sharing the Good News of Jesus. I completely agree with you young lady. Thanks

It’s easy! If you religion is works based then it can’t be true PERIOD. What could you do to gain favor with God? He wants us to come to Him in appreciation for his sacrifice and love Him with all our heart mind and soul, that’s it! The work you do after being saved is just the fruit.

Well said. This is why we should not celebrate lies such as Christmas. As intelligent Christians, we would be faulty in celebrating a lie. Also, vanity is very bad. Imagine the suffering because of Christmas. Imagine the fact that atheist celebrate this day. Stay smart. In Jesus' mighty name.

Quoting Greek poetry is a good idea considering just how much the gospel writers lifted from Greco Roman mythical narratives. Just take the most fundamental claim of Christianity: Jesus’ resurrection. In his book, Resurrection and Reception in Early Christianity Dr. Richard Miller contends that the earliest Christians would not have considered the New Testament accounts of Jesus’ resurrection to be literal or historical, but instead would have recognized this narrative as an instance of the trope of divine translation, common within the Hellenistic and Roman mythic traditions. Given this framework, Miller argues, early Christians would have understood the resurrection story as fictitious rather than historical in nature. By drawing connections between the Gospels and ancient Greek and Roman literature, Miller makes the case that the narratives of the resurrection and ascension of Christ applied extensive and unmistakable structural and symbolic language common to Mediterranean "translation fables," stock story patterns derived particularly from the archetypal myths of Heracles and Romulus. In the course of his argument, the author applies a critical lens to the referential and mimetic nature of the Gospel stories, and suggests that adapting the "translation fable" trope to accounts of Jesus’ resurrection functioned to exalt him to the level of the heroes, demigods, and emperors of the Hellenistic and Roman world. Miller’s contentions have significant implications for New Testament scholarship and will provoke discussion among scholars of early Christianity and Classical studies. Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain, because if you look behind it, the truth will not go down easy.

Convincing people of a myth is nothing to be proud of.

In his book Street Smarts, Greg Koukl supports this idea by "trying to agree whenever possible" with LEGITIMATELY true claims made by someone to keep the conversation friendly and help them identify the errors in their thinking, with the goal to lead them to the ultimate Truth of the gospel.

Thats great advice. Most christians dont even know what their own religion teaches, let alone other religions. And most dont even have a basic understanding of atheism. Frank is a perfect example.
@greatobservantdovelove337 Says:
Alright bet. Christianity is not a religion it’s the Faith. In a religion you work to get to heaven. In Christianity you enter heaven and your works are evidence of your faith in the Jesus Christ the Way the Truth and The Life.
@sonnyreeves8123 Says:
The simple gospel of Jesus doesn't seek the religion of men that gives power and control in his name. We see the simple gospel as love your neighbor and love your family. Careful one another and be willing to love your brothers and sisters as he has loved us in his powerful name name
@festushaggen2563 Says:
Eh, not on board with this. You could give the impression that there's some credibility to these other religions. God doesn't do that. He makes it clear that other beliefs are rebellion to Him and lead people to Hell. Better to preach the truth of Jesus Christ as the way, the truth and the life, just as He says He is. It's a matter of fact for anyone and everyone.
@TheContrarian32 Says:
One should learn about other religions for the sake of gaining knowledge about them, not ti then simply say you understand them with intent to then disagree with them. Which is what I see many Christian’s do

True religion is to care for the widows and the orphans. Otherwise religion is man-made. Understanding other religions helps us show them The Way (Jesus) 👍❤️✝️

Greek stoicism was a beautiful thing before Paul came along and poisoned it. Divinity and morality were both acknowledged, but without the schizophrenia of Christianity.

You have to be careful with grey areas, its most often the darkness pretending to be the light! Someone once said, "a truth that is only half a truth, is ever the darkest of lie!"
@LuisVazquez-hx3bk Says:
If they don't believe in Jesus that he is God and he dies for their sin and in the third day he raised from death, that is a false religion. Very simple to notice what religion is fase.
@larzman651 Says:
I'm just gonna share the gospel. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the LORD JESUS and shalt believe in thy heart that GOD raised him from the dead thou shalt be Saved 🙌 for with the heart man believeth unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation
@aaronmonroe7932 Says:
😂 that's funny because the gentiles that Paul was trying to convert believed that the jewish customs like circumcision and dietary laws were weird and they didn't want to do them. Paul used their belief and adapted the jewish tradition so he could easily convert the gentiles. And because of things like this, Paul was considered a false teacher and people today would say that's pretty progressive.
