1. You bring up a fair question
2. Youre correct that no one fully knows the mind of God, or any other being. Man, we barely understand ourselves much of the time.
HOWEVER...
1. Fully knowing God's mind isn't the claim here.
2. Scripture teaches us that we can know the mind, will, heart of God in part.
3. Jesus claimed he was the perfect representation of God on earth and that the will of the Father, Son & Spirit are the same.
4. We are given access to the Father by the Spirit who has been promised to live in us and grow us.
5. We are told the Word of God is Christ Himself and that Scripture is inspired by the Spirit as God's message to us. Like writing a letter of love and guidance so we can know Him better, live in his will, speak with and hear Him.
6. This is based on trust in God's character and actions.
SO... when so.eone talks about knowing God, his character, will, etc it MUST be based on and consistent with what God has revealed to us by His own testimony, Scripture and the Spirit, who will not contradict Scripture.
If we don't trust that testimony or His character then we have nothing.

I would suggest that it isn't guilt Satan wants you to feel, but rather shame. Guilt I believe is something the Holy Ghost helps you feel to lead you to repentance. Satan doesn't want you to be led to Christ by guilt but rather to hide from God because of shame.

& As a non trinitarian Christian , i also struggle with predestination vs predestination and freewill. (Both realities have pros and cons , and i believe gods will is greater/most merciful [especially cause john 3:16 and much more])
It seems to me rn at least..that with predestination everyone can be saved , but with predestination and free will..not everyone can be saved even if theyre righteous (ex. Hindu and Buddhist)

You can find this mighty and terrible god running about through all the Old Testament.

I actually sent an email to CE the other day on this exact issue and didn’t get a response. I don’t understand why God would test us. He died to redeem us from the curse of the law. He gives us authority over all evil. We speak to the mountain and it moves. People get sic because of sin, not given a test. I don’t believe God would give someone a sickness to test their faith. If you fail, and you give up because you believe you’re not good enough, strong enough, or not enough faith, would God forgive you of failure? Through repentance we are forgiven so a test would be pointless.
