A gratifying conversation. Thank you both. When I saw the name Faith-Ann McGarrell my mind went immediately to where I first encountered the last name. CUC, Trinidad. Roy and Shirley McGarrell. Could this be their daughter? I remembered that they had a daughter and a son, Andre. Was this she now Editor of the Journal of Christian Education? Many questions flooded my mind. I had to know. So I listened to the interview. I could not remember the name of the daughter but when she mentioned an older sister, I knew that if she belonged to that family she was one that came into being since our mutual CUC days. When she mentioned her mothers passing I immediately thought I would check YouTube for any mention of Sirley McGarrell. Sure enought, it was there and my suspicions were confirmed. Faith-Ann represented her parents well. Humble, personable, erudite, scholarly and committed to Jesus Christ and to Christian education. When we became acquainted, her father was already a pastor doing continuing education. Her mother was the girl's dorm dean. I had no idea of her advancement to the exalted positions she had, but I'm not surprised. I truly respect that family. Sis/Dr. McGarrell's works do follow her. She was a woman blessed of God. Faith-Ann is on a similar trajectory. ONly, Be FAITHFUL to the END, dear Sister.

Let us put aside wordly adorning of makeup daughters of God. No makeup should be worn as we are entering into Canaan one grave error leads to another. When non believers see us dressed as they are they see no difference worthy of changing. Plus lipstick generally is made from pigs which are unclean
