There is Hope and Love, which can only be found in Jesus. God has a purpose for you now. He sees, knows, and understands the pain from your past. I think there is more than one definition of 'pride'. Eg. There is a 'pride' in your health, tidiness, vocation and integrity. And there is the ignorant kind of egotistical 'pride', that is inflexible beyond reason. Of course Jesus accepts everyone, even when poor, morally dirty, and greedily dirty. But 'pride' is really just having respect and appreciation, for what we have. Eg. Pride in taking care of one's dress and teeth etc. Let's not confuse the different definitions of 'pride'. Eg. There is something of significant importance, in the analogy of say, a 'pride' of lions. Which is the safety stronghold and nature of 'family union'. Which is a real advantage on this predatory world of ours.
