Man must be convicted of his lostness, sis which have separated him for God and then agree with God and turn his life around with the help of the Holy Spirit which He promises to send for aid in following Him. Jesus said He would give the Spirit to any who ask in faith in Him. As a helper to be able to turn himself around.

So unless you humble yourself before God like a child, you will not see your need to Repent. Repentance that leads to Salvation.
He who is able to endure to the end, realizes that his carnal nature is continually in opposition to the Holy Spirit.
Freedom comes only through the mindset of having a continual awareness of aligning ourselves with his Holyness which requires us to have a constant mindset of repentance.
