Oh wow. Tongues is babble. a false gospel not Biblical per Dr. Hank Lindstrom. But there is another method that's not Spiritual per scientists for a person to speak a language they never studied. Nick Begich said it happened to him. He said he knows its remote wireless military technology. In the future, all the public will know about this mind science discovery. Derek Prince, like others died having wasted his life in a cult, as it has happened so many times to others. No doubt, he was sincere and well meaning. He was just disobedient to the commandments of Christ and it came at a horrendous price. So, it will befall Walter Veith, Doug Batchelor and all the other SDA self-ordained ministers and you too, if you follow them.
When a person was freed from their sin and from the curse of the law by the death and suffering of Christ, then returns to the law for righteousness as the Adventist do, there remains no longer a sacrifice for their sins again. Because, they have returned to the bondage of the law of sin and death, they have trampled on the blood of Christ and have done despite to the Spirit of Grace wherewith they were sanctified putting Christ to open shame. Heb. 10:26-30 It's no different than Judas, the devout Sabbath keepers and "Son of Perdition" betraying Christ with a kiss.

I’m not big on tongues. Paul didn’t think it was so important either.
I did at one time speak in tongues early in the mornings while praying but I stopped because I was told you may be unwittingly speaking unholy things.
I was still new to the scriptures then so I wasn’t going to risk it even if it felt right.

Speaking in tongues was not a prescription of the gospel or of Christ. It was something that happened at Pentacost, where they were speaking actual languages that were used in the world for the purpose of evangelizing and spreading God's word, and something similar can happen when receiving the Holy Spirit. It is not a prescription or requirement for receiving His Spirit.
Obsessing over the paranormal and mystical powers is idolatry and it's not good for us. The problem is sin. Turn to Christ only.
