What shocks me is that fellow Christians, even in my own family just do not see politics through a biblical lens. We LEFT our home church, very sadly because one of the elders there actively promoted (and spoke at) childrens pride events (he is also a politician). I followed the advice to speak with him, I emailed him my thoughts, I sought counsel from other pastors, I spoke with my pastor. Sadly, it was not rebuked, it was affirmed. The political culture has infiltrated many many churches here. There is a strong feeling of "fear of offence". We are STILL homeless church wise, and actively seeking a bible preaching, bible believing church. So yes, God is merciful to those who repent of sin, but being JUST, He must punish those who do not repent. Isn't that the entire point of Rev 13? Isn't it a warning to Christians not to be DECEIVED? Doesn't Rev 14:12 tells us that Commandment Keeping along with faith in the sacrifice of Christ, is a pre-requisite to being considered to be one of the saints?
