<<@missthang4982 says : The Narrow Gate Matthew 7:13 12In everything, then, do to others as you would have them do to you. For this is the essence of the Law and the Prophets. 13Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14But small is the gate and narrow the way that leads to life, and only a few find it.…>> <<@isaiahwhite1613 says : Love you Derek prince>> <<@mugurohdavid says : Good teaching, BUT I do not agree with his substitution of the phrase "the world was" with the phrase "the world became". From 1:1 and 1:2, there is nothing to even remotely suggest that something happened. In fact, in 19:17 he says "I think" meaning he is not sure. We should study the Bible in a deep manner, pray for wisdom and discernment and revelation, but we should not try to alter or fix our own personal thoughts or interpretations as to what something means. The word of God is clear. It doesn't change. There is not enough description of the earth in verse 1 to remotely suggest that the earth in verse 2 is different. The Bible just says (Verse 1) God created the Heavens and the Earth. Then it says (Verse 2) that the spirit of God was hovering over the waters. There's nothing here to suggest that this is not a continuation from verse 1 without a time lapse. We are to read and understand what is written also considering context, not try to imagine what else might have or could have happened. Genesis 1:1 and 1:2 doesn't speak about God's judgment. At all. It speaks of creation, and of course we know that at that point as the Bible says the world was formless and void (because that's how it had been created). Afterwards, God formed the waters, land, created the animals etc. Let's not try to overthink. Adam was the first man created. And yes, angels were created before us. Derek Prince is referring to what is known as the "GAP THEORY" which is just a theory and not actual facts that state that something happened in between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2 The Gap Theory dilutes the majestic account in Genesis of God's creation. If God had meant to inform us of a gap between the first two verses, He could have clearly done that. There is no verse of Scripture that teaches there was an earlier creation The context of Genesis 1:1-2 itself speaks of creation rather than re-creation. There is no direct statement anywhere is Scripture that a divine judgment occurred between the first two verses in Genesis. The Gap Theory says that millions of animals lived and died not only before Adam, but also before the fall of Satan. But how could there be death in a sinless world? The Bible says that death was a result of sin. At the end of creation we are told, 'God saw everything that He had made, and behold it was very good.' In this verse we have two superlatives: 'everything' and 'very good.' This could hardly be said if a part of the world had already been destroyed and if the angels had fallen into sin. The Gap Theory builds our present world on the ruins of a former one. How could it be very good? Darkness is not necessarily evil (Psalms 104:20) There is no passage in Scripture that teaches that God judged the earth because of the sin of the angel who became the devil. Furthermore, why would God kill the inhabitants of the earth for an angel who sinned? The Bible continually stresses that God is a righteous God. There is not one verse in the Bible that explicitly teaches an earlier creation. Gap Theory breaks the connection between the first two verses of the Bible, where the text has no break!!! Verse 2 is an immediate continuation of Verse 1. It is written Romans 5:12 "sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin..." Through one man Christ Jesus sin and death are defeated. We can become to clever for our own good. This is especially serious when you are a public speaker. We know there were inhabitants on the earth before man! Satan was cast down to the earth with his followers! We have evidence in the ground of these prehistoric beasts! Now, you could say that is speculative, yes it is! And it works to some degree. But when you have a kid who is ridden with a narcissistic personality disorder (sociopathic disorder) The act of "picking your battles" is really giving mixed signals to the kid struggling with the early stages of narcissism (NPD). And if they happen to have grandiose narcissistic personality disorder, then what they have successfully done, is game ground on you. You have given up territory whether you know it or not. But they absolutely know it. And they are good at playing both the short game and the long game. And unless you realize you're dealing with narcissism especially grandeos narcissism, then you are its victim. No i've seen it where parents will say their kids is a liar and a manipulator, And that simply because the parent themselves has some form of narcissism. And they are inflicting the kid. It doesn't matter what the kid does or how honest they are, They're lied about and defamed and dismerged. The narcissist parents wants to turn everybody in the community and certainly everybody in the family against the kids a target. But if it's the kid that's the narcissist, What happens? Is the pick up parents that are the closest to. That parent is the enabler. They will lie about their siblings. And they will cleverly go to their parents and absolutely paint a completely fictitious set of events to form a line or to form a falsified opinion of that sibling. The next thing that happens that parent is already primed to believe that if they sevent, it should confirm what the narcissistic sibling has just gone behind and constructed. Parents and parents enable narcissism in their kids all the time without noticing. If they did they would stop it, they would oppose it. Occasionally apparent is somewhat aware but they just don't know what to do. They see they have a cunning child on their hand but they don't know how to put that right. This is often what fractures a kid's psyche. And converts a sociopath into a psychopath. What the modern medical psychology & psychiatry does not take into account, is that there are spiritual influences. Yes ... unclean spirits. Ad like queen Jezabel, they get some amount of time to repent. The spirit is ultimately trying to destroy the narcisist person. It does through spiritual deception. My husband was delivered on his deathbed. Every relationship that he had with family was destroyed well before he got sick. He spent his last month of alone pretending that he wasn't as sick as he was and that he was getting well. ... the saddest thing I ever did see.>> <<@JacoBecker says : Amen!
