There is some wisdom in avoiding things that drag you down but then we begin to ignore reality itself at some point. We aren’t in the Kingdom of God. There are troubles here every day and the more we look the other way the bigger and faster they will grow and the more suddenly the issue will present itself with no escape route.>> <<@BeReady726 says : I only became bitter after beginning to feel unwell physically and then suddenly I became sensitive to when people try to create a positive perspective rather than one that it rooted in reality, because I feel like if I was rooted fully in reality rather than seeking positivity only, then I would have made wiser decisions in life that may have helped me avoid present suffering. So sometimes when others make us see the negative, it’s because it’s actually there. You can still be grateful for the good, but it’s like ignoring your financial debts and pretending bills and things will get paid on their own. Is that wisdom? I’m not saying God won’t help but He can’t help you if you won’t even acknowledge there is a problem. I have new friends and I guard all my conversations now! A bonus of ending that relationship was I stopped swearing !
