My husband of 41 years had an affair and left me for the other woman. This situation has brought up a past trauma that I never fully dealt with. I was sexually abused as a child, and although as I got older I felt I had forgiven the person who abused me, I realize now that I never really forgave myself. I have held on to the guilt and shame of what happened and it has turned into a very negative self image and actual self-loathing. I have been praying and reading my Bible and watching Christian TV, but I am still struggling and I feel tormented by this feeling of fear and dred now. I feel that Satan has a stronghold on me and I don't know what else to do??
