I've known many people, and I've probably been one myself, who have to be "right" when discussing the Bible. They have no humility that they could be wrong and adamantly take a stance that is wrong. I try to remain humble and open to correction/teaching so I can be correct in my understanding of scripture. If I don't know something about a topic being discussed, I will say "I'm still learning this subject and this is what I know so far."
