I understand the dilemma of having a genetic problem being passed on to them, but I hope that someday, we can ethically modify genes to remove those deficiencies. The problem is, having a problem being pregnant and using the advancements of technology is different then a fertilized egg, having an issue being pregnant, and ripping a baby from a uterus because it has a heartbeat. Potential eggs are just that. A heart beat within an embryo is just that. A baby. Many people have various reasons to why a plan don’t follow through but if it continue to be a problem, I’m sure that would be between the MD and the patient or whatever. It's one thing to believe life begins at conception but it's another thing entirely to advocate for and work towards legislating that belief into law and thereby force your religious beliefs onto other people.
