2:08:42 @crossexamined. Dr. Turek, you speak from an old-earth viewpoint. Do you make a distinction between old-earth (non-life) and evolution; that is old-life through evolution vs a young-life through 6-day creation? Or is your view linked; that if the earth is old, than life is old as well and if the earth is new than life must be young as well? Thank you.

Once saved always saved is wrong because, as Frank says "God in not going to force you into heaven against your will". Not Before you accept Christ and not IF you change your mind and reject Him. Frank's argument that you receive eternal life when you accept Christ is correct but it is conditional. You must continue to accept Christ as your Lord and Savior. You still have free will after you make the choice for Christ and that means you can choose to reject Christ. Any argument to the contrary is logically incoherent if you accept the two principles Frank does accept. 1) That we have free will and that is remains at least as long as you a physically living and 2) That God will not force you into heaven against your will. Frank needs to think this one through and follow the logic where it leads. If premise 1 and 2 are true then you can lose your salvation. There is also theological evidence for this as the scripture speaks of blotting out names from the Book of Life. If once saved always saved was true, no name would ever be blotted out. Names would only be added as they accepted Christ. The counter argument that maybe they were never really saved doesn't work for the following reasons. First, for the individual in question, losing their salvation and never really being saved is indistinguishable and thus has to be treated the same. Second, it doesn't address the theological problem of why names are being blotted out of the Book of Life.

Frank really didn't address why what happened in Job was allowed but spoke about satan and Jesus in the desert. The best explanation I have heard regarding Job, is that God allowed it to change Job's heart. Job had been righteous and obedient to God but it wasn't because he loved God but because he feared HIM and bowed to His power. At the end of Job, Job had learned to have a personal relationship with God based on Love and not only obedience to a master.

Each and every person lives by faith, believing unprovable a priori basic beliefs and basing his or her worldview on unprovable presuppositions. The entire scientific enterprise itself is based on philosophical faith-based presuppositions! I don't have enough faith to be an atheist. At this point in my life, after the sum total of my life experiences, it would take me MUCH MORE faith to NOT believe than TO believe in Jesus Christ as the Way, the Truth and the Life. Everyday just adds to affirmations of His Truth. Once one's spiritual eyes and heart are TRULY opened to the Truth of Jesus Christ, there is no going back.

2:08:42 the universe is 6k years old. why would god wait 13.8billion years if the focus is on us? the universe may be expanding but that doesnt change its age. if im a 30 year old man made by god 30 seconds ago, me continuing ageing doesnt change that fact. and it does matter how old the earth is. is doubting god's power and his word. and if a young earth is a fallacy, then what else is? it might not change your salvation but it does change your interpretation, causing to teach and do the wrong things

We all can sin even saints but saints donβt live in or for sin. Brother Adam reminds me of law advocate believers, when talking to them itβs in circles because they are prideful and have a spirit keeping them from understanding grace, like the Pharisees Titus 3:4-5. They ignore the scriptures about believers having imputed righteousness InChrist and nonbelievers have imputed sin InAdam Romans 4:8; 5:13-14. Both are spiritual states of the believer and the nonbeliever, righteousness is a permitted spiritual state because of the promise of God in John 3:3 and the true hope in the believerβs heart in Ephesians 1:13. The sinful state of the nonbeliever can be changed if they truly believe and receive the gift of faith 2 Timothy 2:25 Romans 3:27-28 KJV. Romans 8:2 KJV explains verse one, but law advocate-believers always stop at verses one in their pride. Romans 8:1-2 doesnβt contradict John 3:17-18 in there perspective context. Paul was baptized in Damascus before he wrote Romans before his missionary journey. In Acts 9 it states he was healed of his blindness and baptized by Ananias of Damascus.

2:32:50 π―π― This brother was right 1/ Apostle John in 1 John 1 was adressing i.e exposing the the heresy of the gnostics on some verses. Gnostics belief is: π‘βππ¦ π‘ππ’πβπ‘ πππ ππππππ¦ π‘βππ‘ π¦ππ’ πππ’ππ βππ£π ππππππ€π βππ π€ππ‘β πΊππ πππ πππ£π πππππππππ¦ πππππ’π π π‘βπ ππππ β ππ πππ‘ ππ π‘βπ π πππππ‘, meaning: you can be perfect, without sin, just because your spirit is "good"... π€¨ 2/ In Romans 7, Apostle Paul was drawing a parallel with his former life as a Pharisee, living under the law and not under the law of Christ, which is freedom from the bondage of sin and, not a fatality as Cross Examined says (because of a so-called sinful nature, as the modern Church tried to teach). To understand Romans 7, it is imperative to read Romans 6, Romans 7 and Romans 8 for a complete answer and to understand Paul's context, for although these letters are written in the present tense, they mention the past of a born-again, more precisely a Jew who knew the law. We "Gentiles", a fortiori, are strangers to what Paul is saying, when it comes to the law.

Cannibalism was forbidden. Jesus is not going to speak to a literal eating of his flesh. The reason he lost so many followers is because they had a different idea of who the messiah would be and accomplish. They wanted a military messiah and Jesus to die didn't fit their paradigm.

Some of his points are nonsensical. 1) Does the Bible teach the sun rises and sets? Well yes!! If you are looking at it from the perspective of standing on earth. Does the Bible teach the earth doesn't rotate? Does the Bible teach the earth hangs on nothing? 2) How old was Adam when he was first created? Ah... yes one. How old did Adam appear to be? Same for all of creation.

Dr. Turek, I have great respect for you and the work you do. Iβve watched almost every debate in which youβve participated, so many of your lectures for hours on end, and I am always impressed. But if you never heard the Gospel at Mass, I really question how that could possibly be so. The entirety of the Mass declares the Gospel, beginning to end. The Gloria, the Creed, the requests for mercy for our faults, our grievous faults, in both what we have done and what we have failed to do. The recognition of the need of Christ as our Savior permeates the celebration of the Mass. As a truck driver, I have attended Catholic Mass in countless churches across the nation, and I hear the Gospel proclaimed clearly in 99% of them. It breaks my heart that you attended a parish and a Catholic school that did not emphasize these truths. Those who were supposed to teach you, failed you indeed. I would love to see you have a conversation, dialogue, or even a respectful debate with one or more of the prominent contemporary Catholic apologists. Trent Horn, Jimmy Akin, Matt Fradd, Joe Heschmeyer, Tim Staples, Karlo Broussard, Steve Ray, and so many others. From what I know of them, one of them would happily have a respectful dialog with you. And I would be honored to be educated by, and open-minded to, such a dialogue.

"If time was eternal, then today would have never arrived." I don't think time is eternal, but I don't think this is a good argument. It's like saying "if there were an infinite number of negative integers, we would've never arrived at zero". 'Arrived' implies some kind of traversal, and it can both be true that an infinite traversal is impossible, but there's an infinite space to traverse over.
