All the troubles started in November 2022 when I asked him if he saw a future with me he gave me such a snarky response it broke me for days. I didn't notice it but my friends noted I became so, distant from him. This hurt him deeply I could see it. However, I admit I wanted to drown myself in work and school because that's how I know how to drown my anger/sadness at his response and I feel at that point I neglected him. I didn't know how to tell him I was so, mad at him and I felt so, led on by him. On the other hand, he didn't leave but I caught my ex guarding his phone too much I became suspicious. I know this is just one of the signs of him cheating and it was the fact he would do it in front of me breaks me as well. I am feeling so, lost and sad now I know I've been in this position before but at 26 it no longer hurts like I am used to it when I was younger but I do feel empty. He admitted it today after I told him "don't treat me like an idiot I know the signs at this point in my life" and he just admitted to me he has been talking to this "girl" in CT and she knows all about me too 😔. I feel like an empty shell of myself I feel so ashamed showing him off to my family, friends, and coworkers. He told me he can't give me the family and life I deserve but that's exactly why I was working and studying so, hard for was to help him doing this. I don't feel strong enough to let him go yet. I am so mad at myself I should be mad at him for catching him. I keep choosing the wrong man I am so tired I want to have a family like the one I grew up with and I'm I won't have this now 😭 I am always studying and working so, hard I can't seem to see why I can't the right guy to take care of me and love me that I love 😞. We had a sad lengthy phone conversation he mentioned he wanted to start something with this girl he has been talking for 3 months behind my back. My heart shattered into pieces I responded with "go be happy then, who am I to hold you back in anything you deserve better, please don't hesitate to call me if you need anything or someone to talk too I won't judge you or mistreat you like I did once. Be happy okay I will always love you and I won't throw your picture in my wallet yet. I'll keep it there to motivate to study harder. I just don't want you to be mistreated like I was before I met you" I didn't hear much in his end other than "I don't know what to say okay I will care about you I won't block you please take care" I am just hurt the fact "she" knows about me and has known about me and he continued to talk to her in front of me. I'm to pray tonight and pray for that family I want so, badly I don't my kids to go through that struggle I am going through it now. I just finished my bachelors in biochemistry I want to be either a PA or an NP if anyone is wondering. Where do I go from here? What do I do now?
