But one thing, what I now call wrong, was, that I invested my musical talent into secular music. It was a response to the circumstances, that my church wasn't willing to include my musical talent, about music they almost lived in 19th century. Later I stopped doing secular music by circumstances, the "health care" forbid events. I noticed, that I doesn't need the money I earned by the gigs. Also the "health care" agenda made it impossible to stay in my church. On the one hand, because I wasn't willing to get the certificates we needed to join the worship service, on the other hand, because I doesn't see, that the leadership gives humans, what belongs to God and thinks, they would act very carefully to prevent harm. I came into a small church, that never had the idea to allow the world system to tell them, how to do a worship service or what people are allowed. This church had no musicians who were able or willing to lead the worship time, so they sang with YouTube videos and when I offered to do music in worship service, I got opportunity to do, what I really wanted. But I guess, this door couldn't be opened before I leave secular music behind me. Frankly I can say, I never understood the people who refrain from secular music. I started playing the instrument after becoming Christian, so I didn't see the music I performed as part of my old life. It was so easy to find excuses, as "I bring some joy into old people's life" or "I earn money, so I can better serve the old people" and "the equipment can be used in the church". When I started to say "Jesus be the lord over my collection of records, CDs, song books and the music I perform" and "I never will be dependent to money I could earn by selling something, that I couldn't use with good conscience", it set me free. It was much money I have invested, I didn't simply put the songbooks into trash, but removed the pages. One song book has 50 % songs, that has blasphemy or promote alcohol abuse or sexual immoral as good and it wasn't rock music, it were pop songs from the time before 1950. So at least, every page containing a song that is bad was gone and in the end, all songs were gone, including the harmless ones. Again 25 bugs are in the trash can, but God is my provider, so it won't be needed. Meanwhile I have so many Christian song books, some of them I purchased second hand, and also my church provides access to Christian sheet music downloads, so I can provide many songs to my band. This year I had a horrible time, health issues and in this time, no secular pop song could comfort me, but Christian songs about God our healer and what he says about me.>> <<@ajzvasquez9617 says : HALLELUJAH!
