This is NOT the case with tattoos today unless, of course, they are pornographic or depict occult symbols or contain cursing, etc.. Dragging a prohibition from a particular cultural setting that is no longer relevant for today is the same as some Christian denominations believing you should pull Paul's commands about women's head covering from 1 Corinthians 11:2-16 which only had meaning and relevance in the pagan culture of that day and making it for today. Joyce is not compromising any of the truths of the gospel so let's not play the part of modern-day Pharisees and condemn her for it.
