I truly understand when it says guard your heart proverbs 4:23 I was just doing what I was supposed to what we all are supposed to read your Bible, look for answers in the bible. Except I was watching videos, reading other books about commentary from, different pastors a few from Derek prince too. I was doing that for a month straight no watching TV no playing videos games just sitting in my recliner seeking God will different books, videos, and the bible, going to bible studies and other things. God spoke to me literally I heard his voice I don't remember what it sounds like, I actually had a small conversation with the creator of the universe it was about fearing the world and not trusting in him. He spoke to me twice the second time was him saying to look in his word and he showed me a whole verse I can't remember what it is now but he explained it better than anyone else could because it is his word. I always tested to make sure I wasn't trusting in something else. I used the bible as a testing tool, the bible even says to do it. As I was listening to an other pastor he said some words that messed me up. I know it was God but the devil also told me see you think you are doing right and look you are doing wrong. The pastor said you cannot find God in a book or videos or bible study and he named everything and I felt my soul being crushed but I didn't let him finish I just sat there and felt defeated but it was all lies and he was telling the truth I just didn't let him finish he was saying that if you are seeking God that way you won't find him. I was seeking God while using those ways. Praying, reading the Bible, and all the ways I mentioned but not fasting. Should you fast sure but I don't think it is required, it's not the fasting it's not the praying it's not reading the Bible. It's are you looking for God. He said if you seek me you will find me Jeremiah 29 13. I know he was directly talking to the jews but he was also talking to us later. Don't let the devil lie to you if you are seeking God he will try his hardest to turn you>>
